In the past I did extensive research into Islam. The historical Muhammad as revealed in the Koran, Hadith and historical sources was a warlord who fought 9 pitched battles and personally led 25+ military expeditions to spread Islam by the sword. He enslaved thousands of men, women and children taken in his wars. His armies stormed cities.

Muhammad also personally owned 39 slaves although the exact number is open to debate. Some were his sex slaves. Islamic law at the time written by Muhammad permitted sexual relations with female captives and slaves.

Muhammad married Aisha when she was six and apparently consummated the marriage at nine (according to Sunni clerics). They grow up so fast! Ask Western Muslims about that. They tie themselves in knots trying to justify it. Muhammad was 53. He also executed 600-700 Jewish POWs (look up the Battle of the Trench 627).

Muhammad also apparently assassinated political opponents.

Did you know that according to Islam, Muhammad led the perfect life? That if a Muslim wants to be a good Muslim he should emulate Muhammad's life?

To be fair, there was a moderation of Islam in the 19th century but Muslim extremists find plenty of justification for their acts in Islam itself and the life of Muhammad.
