This incident took place in the Çerkezköy district of Tekirdağ, Turkey. A 64-year-old woman, identified as Mersiye I., confronted her 64-year-old husband, Rahim I., at a local kiosk. She aimed a licensed pistol belonging to her daughter and pulled the trigger, but the firearm jammed. During the ensuing struggle, she struck her husband in the head with the gun's handle, injuring him. She was arrested and subsequently sent to prison on charges of attempted intentional murder.
