A multiple collision at kilometer 54 of the Palín-Escuintla highway has left four people dead and two injured, local rescue services reported.

Firefighters Alerta-3 GT, based in Cañaverales and Monterrey, Escuintla, were the first to attend to the emergency and reported that the victims who died at the scene were three men and a woman died at the hospital in Escuintla.

The most horrible thing about all of this is the realization that we are not safe anywhere. It only takes a fraction of a second, and everything is ruined. Here, it was the fault of a stupid truck driver. Elsewhere, it is the responsibility of the operator of a drone, or the programmer of a tomahawk missile. Life hangs on a string, which can break at any time!

Of the four dead and two injured... I wonder if any came from the truck that caused the whole thing? Surely motorcycle dude was one of the goners. I always hate hearing how often the one who caused the accident walks away with no injuries.
