Ukraine has independent anti-corruption institutions and is committed to a sustainable fight against corruption. Significant improvements are already visible. Ukraine is no longer even the most corrupt country in Europe, while the Russian Federation continues to rank among the most corrupt countries in the world.

And of course, there was no Western-led "putsch" in 2014. These demonstrations originated from within Ukrainian civil society, with corruption being one of the reasons for turning away from Russia and towards the West. It's undeniable that the countries that have aligned themselves with the West are significantly better off.

Aside from the disgusting Russian Federation itself and a handful of countries - namely Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan - where there is indeed a majority who regret the collapse of the USSR, there is no such majority in any of the other countries that formerly belonged to the Eastern Bloc, or the Soviet bloc as you call it, not even close. How anyone can claim that a majority in these countries perceives the collapse of the USSR as a catastrophe is utterly baffling.
