Detroit Police officer David Gonzalez approached 18-year-old Alonzo Lee-Perkins for having something suspicious in his waistband at the Ford Fireworks.

Lee-Perkins ran off and jumped construction barrels before Gonzalez shot him 4 times, even though Lee-Perkins never turned around.

Lee-Perkins survived the shooting, and Gonzalez's partner, officer Joseph Wafer, later swore in court he never saw a gun and said it could have been a phone or a wallet.

Gonzalez was never charged and was reinstated to full duty on July 20th.

Perkins, who has no criminal record, now faces gun and resisting charges, which his lawyer called the most egregious police shooting of a civilian in recent memory.

Shooting a fleeing man. That's the protocol of a coward and a dishonest man. A total disproportionate use of force that goes against natural law.

Shot on a suspicion.

America is sickening
