Statement by the Santa Ana Mayor:
I am aware of the October 1st incident involving Santa Ana Police Dept officers and a community member on Jackson St.

I immediately contacted the City Manager and Chief of Police once I learned of the incident. The matter is under investigation and details cannot be shared that could compromise the process. However, I support transparency and a thorough investigation into this matter.

Remember, there are officers who are professional and we cannot
judge all officers by one’s actions, but I will continue to monitor this investigation.
