Two Columbiana County sheriff's deputies suffered broken bones after a 20-year-old defendant broke free from handcuffs following a sentencing hearing at the county courthouse in Lisbon.
The suspect, Timothy Reaggle, allegedly punched one deputy in the throat, assaulted another and tried to flee before being stopped with a Taser near the courthouse doors.
Both deputies were treated at a hospital and released, and Reaggle is expected to face felony escape and assault on a police officer charges.
