Home security footage captured the moments an insurance adjuster fell through the ceiling and into the kitchen below, surprising the homeowners.
The homeowner, Joel R. Merritt, of South Carolina, shared the footage on his Instagram account because it "gets us laughing every time."
"The insurance adjuster could not determine the cause of the leaks from walking on the roof, so he asked to take a look in the attic. I was with him in the attic as he was looking around when he stepped back onto the ceiling," Merritt said.
"I was obviously shocked when he suddenly disappeared, but I was concerned for his safety," he added.
Merritt had originally installed cameras to monitor the dog sitters while they were on vacation, and forgot the cameras were there until the roof incident.
