A Texas cop was caught on camera telling a man who was being investigated for domestic violence that 'women are the downfall of men.'
Rachel Carlton captured the jaw-dropping interaction on her doorbell camera, which revealed two San Antonio Police Department officers casually speaking with her husband after she called them for help.
Three officers stood outside as her children played in the yard and her husband sat on the porch during the interaction.
'Look, I'll tell you - women are the downfall of men,' one officer was heard telling her husband.
After seeing the interaction, Carlton shared it online with hopes of raising awareness of the officer's inappropriate behavior.
'I called SAPD because my husband is being aggressive, threatened to beat my a** and I’m pretty sure is back on drugs,' Carlton shared in the caption of her video.
'I put a camera inside my home for mine and my kids protection and my husband saw it, grabbed it and smashed it outside with a bat. Thanks for encouraging my husbands bad behaviors SAPD. Way to protect the public.'
Carlton shared a separate video on Facebook of her husband outside their home smashing an object with a baseball bat.
She told a commenter that she reported the officer to the department. A sergeant told her they had identified the officer who made the remark and had moved it up the chain of command.
She added in the caption of her TikTok video that the officer had responded to their home before.
Carlton claimed that the officer had previously threatened to take both her and her husband to jail and place their children with Child Protective Services if he responded to another call at their home.
