Jordan Wilmore is a 7-foot-3-inch “gentle giant” whose dream was to become a police officer.

"It feels unreal. Feeling blessed as well… I'm just trying to get to work and do my dream job. Finally."

Wilmore failed his state exam on his first attempt, but NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal encouraged him before the exam and even promised him a custom patrol vehicle.

Wilmore and his girlfriend have maintained a blessing box outside of the department, which provides food and other essentials to people in need.

"I didn't really become a police officer just to arrest people… I just want to be a community officer as well."
