ATLANTA, Ga. — A Gwinnett County man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his elderly mother, police said.
Police said officers responded to a home on March 15 after receiving reports of a man who pushed his mother and pulled another person’s hair out.
When the officer arrived, the man said he had just smoked marijuana. Kehma Johnson, 31, “was acting erratically, making odd statements, and then suddenly charged,” police said.
A neighbor said Johnson had pulled out some of her hair.
The officer hit Johnson with a Taser, but Johnson continued fighting officers until being taken to jail.
Johnson was charged with aggravated battery, false imprisonment, battery, obstructing or hindering persons making an emergency telephone call and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence.
