An officer with the Baltimore Police Department used his firearm in a shooting that occurred on the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in the Upton neighborhood of the city on Thursday, according to the department.
Shortly after noon, CCTV alerted officers to a fight near Wilson and Penn avenues, where three men were sparring. Responding officers were warned that one of the individuals was armed with a knife. Officers pursued the suspect after he refused to stop. A struggle ensued as an officer tried to arrest the suspect, who resisted while clinging to a satchel on his person.
