"Wednesday afternoon, in the Gobelins district (Paris 13th arrondissement), police were forced to open fire on a highly aggressive individual armed with a knife. According to initial reports: - The man attacked several passengers, then threatened and assaulted a bus driver. - He then charged the officers who arrived on the scene. - A police officer attempted to subdue him with a Taser → unsuccessfully. - Faced with the imminent danger, a second officer fired three shots. The assailant was hit and is currently in critical condition. The area is cordoned off, and traffic is severely disrupted. The police acted to protect the public and their colleagues. Once again, our law enforcement officers are confronted with extreme violence in the streets."
