Wow this is soo fucking stupid. They are a not the boxes off the trucks and this `video was a waste.
U-Haul figured out how to charge you twice for the same truck
When U-Haul retires an old moving truck, they don’t just scrap it. They sell the cab and chassis, remove the cargo box, and then line those same boxes up at their facilities and rent them back out as storage units. The exact metal box you once paid to move your stuff in becomes the thing you later pay monthly to store your stuff inside.
It’s the same asset, reused instead of wasted. Paid for once, monetized again. From a business standpoint, it’s efficient, sustainable, and incredibly smart. From a customer perspective, it feels like realizing you’ve been walking past the answer in plain sight the entire time.
Nothing hidden. Nothing illegal. Just a strategy most people never stopped to question.
And why should it be an issue? It's their property, what would you have them do, scrap it and buy a separate storage unit to rent out? They're not charging anyone twice for the same truck.
here's an idea, don't buy so much shit you need a storage unit.
Go inside it and you will know for sure , should still have the cab over box . Too much trouble to cut it off.
Not really, those are actual storage units unless they put the box inside. Who gives a shit also? Id do the exact same thing if they were reusable.
They remove and keep what makes a truck valuable, then resell the skeleton for top price. Who pays the final bill? It’s always the ones with empty pockets! Only a creep could call that awesome. He's the one, who has the art of fucking others in his veins.
Sir, those are manufactured steel storage units,
not uHaul trucks with state facts written across the side.
I miss the days when idiots weren't able to post anything they thought was fact.
