how is it possible that there is nothing left of the Learjet that crashed in Florida today except for a relatively small crater?

Here we go again. Dont understand something? Straight to conspiracy theories:D

Same happened with the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 in shanksville Pennsylvania. The impact was so powerful that it left almost nothing of the plane. And this LearJet was a nosedive from 10 kilometers and the speed was around 500 kmh. That small Jet shattered in small pieces.

If that aircraft was descending at a rate of 22,000 ft per minute (pilots words) it was probably going at 350 mph or more. At that speed it just vaporized at impact.

@nuffsaid2 correction - airspeed was estimated at close to 600 mph at impact.

Civilian aircraft are light, fiberglass, not like cars.
They mostly disintegrate on impact with enough velocity.
