no one needs to look at any of these things. all you need to do is look at the holy bible. and it is holy. it's 100% true.

@Taurus911 no one needs historical knowledge. all a person needs is the holy spirit. and if a person has the holy spirit.. that spirit.. he.. will not allow them to stay in the catholic church.. as they follow him.. the holy spirit.. and learn his word.. the holy bible.

That is why I left.

I started studying the KJV Bible (the ASV is the Catholic's Bible, which even removes most of The Lord's Prayer)

Everything that the Bible says to do, we were taught not to do.
And everything we were told it was good to do, the Bible says don't do.

You were taught that, I know, I was taught the same thing. It is 100% wrong.

The first churches were ALL INDEPENDENT, as the Lord intended tham to be.
There is not to be a single hierarchy church. Jesus Christ said so.
That is what the Nicolatians tried to form, and the RCC revived it.

Independent churches were in existence for over 300 years before the Catholic Church came into existence.

Read "The Trail of Blood " if you dare to find out some startling truths about how the Catholic teachings came about.

Their goofy laws contain both good and bad things.
One of the best they did but should have not made it mandatory for all Catholics is infant baptism. That saved 10,000s of newborn girls in the dark Africa.
Most all the other laws have to do with them gaining more money or forcing memberships.

@oroboros exactly. we need the unvarnished word of the living god. father, son, spirit.. three persons in one god. we can't understand it.. but we know it's true.
praise jesus.. the only ever messiah.. and praise the father and the spirit.. all one.. praise god. the bible.. non contradictory.. exactly perfect and harmonious.. every part of it made at a certain time.. for certain purposes.. but all still useful.. and all still true.. and the true word of the living god.

I am ex-Catholic.

The Roman Catholic Church is the descendent of the Nicolatians.

Every thing they teach is to divert you from God Himself and have your focus directly on the Church.

They profess the Church can save your soul. They reject the teachings of the Bible and will have you to believe that their own written book, the Catechism, is what you need to read and believe.

Even in their "Bible Studies Classes", they insist you look to the Catechism to do the interpretation of Scripture verses, not what you can see what it means.
