Putin: AI "digital totalitarianism" - Unlike Trump, who's pushing for SI now!
If the 'march of NATO' is such an existential threat, then why the fuck is russia not at war with Finland, right now. The country that actually joined NATO as a result of this war, and has a 1,400km long border with russia. This putin retard will never be taken seriously, because he is not serious.
I watched all 220 minutes. It was just an old man ranting about chasing yesterdays dragons. This dumbarse doesn't even know what 'AI' is. It's painfully obvious, if you actually listen to what he is saying.
SI is a tool like any other tool. It's all in how you use it. We want open source, freely available, "have it your way" SI that is tailored to your worldview.
Currently all the SI is Woke/Leftist/Antiwhite to one degree or another. Currently SI has guardrails put on it the way rigged Google searches give you 10 pages of CNN and MSNBC "trusted sources".
I've been on the internet for 30 years, and I remember what searches used to look like 15+ years ago. It is criminal what the Left has done to the internet. You used to be able to go on great internet archeology adventures, where you could think up a topic and start digging. Now it's all Leftist trash and the Right wing stuff has been made next to impossible to find.
Anyone that has used AI knows it can't run ANYTHING by itself, it will just be made to appear that way. Made by queers for queers that like fake substanceless things.
Quote from Putin's speech:
Increasingly, experts say with concern that the spread of artificial intelligence may become another attempt to convert everyone to a common denominator, to strip them of individuality, this time using algorithms that someone has set up. Such a digital totality will be as hopeless, dark and inhuman as the well-known examples of totalitarian societies of the past.
There are already cases where artificial intelligence itself makes decisions based on its own understanding of expediency. This applies to both civilian and military use. As artificial intelligence technologies continue to be implemented, their role will grow. Algorithms will take on more and more responsibility. All the more so because of course a person cannot compete with a machine's ability to analyze the situation almost immediately. However, a person has other qualities: feeling, intuition and the ability to make perhaps not entirely obvious decisions, which in the end turn out to be the only correct and saving ones.
You know, now I want to remind you of one more story from Soviet practice, from Soviet reality. September 1983. The missile officer, Lieutenant Colonel Stanislav Petrov, was on combat duty and received a signal from the early warning system of a missile attack. In our country and in the USA, such systems have been created and have been operating for a long time. The system recorded the launch of five US intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Any algorithm would evaluate this as a definite reason to strike back before the missiles hit. However, the experienced officer doubted the correctness of the signal, suspected a system failure, and he was right. If artificial intelligence had been in his place, everything could have turned out completely differently.
We should always keep in mind that this terrorist, this lying KGB weasel, is a mass murderer, a child murderer, and a wanted war criminal. He is wanted because he was stupid enough to accidentally confess on his own state television to his involvement in the war crime of abducting and deporting Ukrainian children.
And he is losing the war in Ukraine because he is way dumber than he thinks and completely out of touch with today's world. Plus, it is downright hilarious and absurd when someone like Putin lectures others about the dangers of totalitarianism.
