You know, in prison, if you forget to wash your hands after taking a piss, you don't just risk getting beaten up, you *will* get beaten up.

Inside those walls, everyone, without exception, plays the "perfection game," and anyone who makes a mistake, whether on purpose or by accident, learns the hard way.

That means you don't miss the bowl when you pee, and you don't leave a single drop on the rim.

Behind closed doors, it’s a different world with different rules. The guards are just as much of a problem as the other inmates.

Here, before you're put in your actual cell, you're deliberately locked in with other inmates specifically chosen to "welcome" you.

And these guys are big, they're huge.

The goal, of course, is for you to tell your story, to explain why you're inside.

But they don't ask because they're curious, no ! They want to see if you'll tell the truth, because they already know everything about you from the start.

If you lie, thinking you can get away with it, you're going to get a severe beating.

If you dared to beat a woman, rape anyone, or commit a hate crime, you'll be stopping at the hospital before seeing your new quarters. That’s how it is for every new arrival; the welcoming committee is inevitable.

So, in her case, I wish her luck. She’s about to find out that being white and racist is going to make her very popular in prison.

UK here, I heard when you first go in, they put you with the "daddy" of the wing to check you out. So ONE big guy. There was a story I heard once of the "daddy" saying "ive had enough of it here" to the newbie, "I wanna take a prison guard hostage, let me tie you to that chair to trick them into coming in to the cell, then I GRAB one and let you go" the newbie agreed because the guy was a man mountain.... that newbie got repeatedly roped that night.... tied to that chair
