The Santa Fe Police Department was pursuing 47-year-old Gabriel Garcia for child solicitation and sexual exploitation of a child.

The department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit was in contact with Garcia, posing as a child. Garcia traveled all the way from Houston, about a 13-hour drive, and expressed his desire to commit sexual crimes. Garcia was booked on 8 counts of child solicitation by electronic device, sextual exploitation of children by prostitution, and aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer.
