Investigators are looking into what caused an Amazon cargo plane to crash in Miami, killing at least five people and injuring five others Sunday. The Boeing 767-300 cargo plane was traveling at 129 mph when it overshot the end of the runway at Miami International Airport at around 2 p.m. ET, hitting several vehicles and trapping bystanders in their cars. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Ray Jadallah said crews on the ground worked to tackle a fuel leak from the aircraft, while local news outlets reported that more than 60 MDFR units had attended the scene.

Last close up of video shows right landing gear never making contact with the runway.

Without sensors reading all wheels on ground, pilots cannot engage reverse thrusters.

Plane thought is was still in the air.

The reverse thrust flaps on the engines didn't look like they were open to me... If there was no reverse thrust, then it's no surprise that it fukked itself off the end of the runway..!!

@SirAbsolute TWW Transportation Safety Board is on it! Plane looked like it landed long on the runway. I would think crew would watch their indicators much closer in that situation.

Seems like we got a backlog of cases building up. Abadabad flight where the plane lost power after take off got memory holed.

@Quint_Beastwood No, people were saying that at first, but that was mostly because the plane was white, after they investigated it turned out climate change was the culprit this time.
