he Broward County man who brazenly robbed a gold kiosk at the Treasure Coast Mall, snatching thousands of dollars in gold jewelry, has been identified and arrested.
Martin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations detectives identified 25-year-old Dezmone Johnson as the thief seen in this video posing as a legitimate customer while looking at several gold chains. He then suddenly grabs the gold and runs.
A second video shows Johnson at a pawn shop selling the stolen jewelry.
Detectives worked with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate Johnson, who was taken into custody and charged with robbery by sudden snatching.
The total loss exceeded $22,000.
Johnson can now add robbery to his extensive criminal history.
