Carlos Martinez, 15, was reportedly ‘jumped’ before chasing after alleged attackers
New details have emerged on Wednesday after a fight at Miami Northwestern Senior High School led to a stabbing, the arrest of three students and the hospitalization of an 18-year-old student earlier this week, according to investigators.
According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, Carlos Martinez, 15, was initially attacked by two students during a fight at the school on Monday.

Cellphone video circulating on social media appears to show two people punching, kicking and at one point body-slamming Martinez.

Martinez’s arrest report states that he later retrieved a knife and sprinted down the hallway in efforts for “retaliation on his attackers.”
Martinez appeared in court Tuesday, where prosecutors said they intend to charge him as an adult. A judge ordered him to remain in secure detention and prohibited him from having contact with the other students involved in the incident.
