A six-member gang in Egypt allegedly carried out a dramatic robbery on the Cairo–Ismailia Desert Road, targeting a truck transporting around four tonnes of frozen poultry. According to reports, members of the gang drove alongside the moving truck, opened its rear doors at highway speed and transferred 105 kg of frozen chicken into their pickup.

The truck driver reportedly discovered the theft only after stopping, while footage of the bizarre highway robbery later surfaced online. Police traced the suspects to Cairo and Qalyubia; reports say the gang opened fire during the arrests, leaving three suspects dead and three arrested. Police also recovered weapons, the pickup truck and the stolen chicken
