Annabelle Billings, a redheaded Arkansas college student who gives off “I would never” energy, pulled out of Old School Billiards just after midnight and started painting both the yellow and white lines.

When the officer walked up, she rolled the window down like she was just heading home after a wholesome night of pool.

She said she and a friend had been at the hall and she “only had a couple.”

The field sobriety tests told a different story.

She failed the eye test, missed heel-to-toe, and still looked like she was politely waiting for extra credit. Then she blew a .129.

She was booked for DWI and improper lane change.

Innocent face with an alcohol taste. Classic.

Relying solely on the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test to determine impairment is highly problematic because the test yields frequent false positives due to dozens of non-alcohol medical, environmental, and human errors. Thats the only thing I see she really "failed".

Sobriety tests are such a joke! It looked to me that she passed them all with flying colors. The female cop was already going to take her to jail and this girl was BARELY drunk. It used to be that you could have to .13 in your system and now it's .08. That's ridiculous. I don't even drink and I think it's stupid. You couldn't have a couple of beers and pass that.

Even sober most people can't get heel to toe Perfectly, And the eye test is bullshit to begin with. I honestly don't understand where they get these numbers for safe legal limits. I've blown a .12 and been perfectly fine to drive. Wasn't until I was around .18 that I started feeling and driving intoxicated. I think everybody is different and people's ability to have higher tolerance than others is real.
