ST. LOUIS, Mo.- A woman attempted to escape police custody by opening the back door of a Police Tahoe on Friday.
According to the police, a woman, who was being transported to North Patrol as a suspect in a domestic incident, was able to remove her seatbelt and open the door of the police car in an attempt to escape custody. She was handcuffed at the time of the attempted escape, police told First Alert 4.
Police said the woman, who suffered minor injuries, was apprehended and will face additional escape charges.
The incident occurred on Friday near Natural Bridge and North Kingshighway.
