Riverside, California — On January 22, 2026, at approximately 10 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department personnel from the Specialized Enforcement Division attempted to arrest a man in the parking lot of the Magnolia Tyler Shopping Center in the 3700 block of Tyler Street.

The man, identified as Jaque Rabon, 23, of Loma Linda, was the subject of a felony no-bail warrant. During the attempted arrest, a lethal force encounter occurred. Rabon was pronounced deceased at the scene. No law enforcement officers or bystanders were injured.

The Riverside Police Department responded. The California Department of Justice assumed the investigation under Assembly Bill 1506. Sheriff’s officials stated the department is fully cooperating and will not release further details while the probe continues. As of July 2026, the investigation remains active.
Rabon’s mother, Tyesha Moody, said her son “wasn’t doing enough to get killed” and described him as a “very sweet” person with a “good heart” who was “misunderstood.”

Criminal History: The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department identified Rabon as a documented gang member and convicted felon. Court records show that in August 2025 he was charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm (Penal Code 245(b)) and being a felon in possession of a firearm (Penal Code 29800(a)(1)). He failed to appear in court on August 21, 2025, and a warrant was issued. The active warrant also included robbery (Penal Code 211).
Officials have not publicly detailed the circumstances that led to the use of lethal force or whether a weapon was recovered.

They have to handcuff him because 15 bullets isn't enough.

Effective although it took too long to terminate the target.

Figures...well, don't want to be shot? DO NOT RUN FROM THE POLICE!

The family of Jaque Rabon along with their Attorney Toni Jaramilla and civil rights activist Najee Ali will call for immediate arrests and prosecution of the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Deputies who shot and killed Jaque Rabon, who was unarmed, in their meeting Friday afternoon with the Department of Justice concerning what the family and community leaders are calling “the public execution of Rabon who was unarmed and shot and killed in broad daylight by San Bernardino Sheriff’s Deputies in Riverside Ca on January 22nd.”

That was fucking BRILLIANT, I love the mag dump they do. Wish I could shoot people dead, especially shitskins although I would like to use a knife on them too. Great feel good video.

@McCunty Use a knife? No way. It's way too messy. It's surprising how much blood is in the human body.

You should get a job as an L.A. county sheriff. They never run out of perpetrators to shoot!

@ScreaminMime The tinnitus of gunfire can sometimes make hearing spoken words difficult shortly after. This is common practice to counter it.
