GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man and woman have been charged after falsely reporting a shooting, which detectives unveiled using gunshot detection receivers, according to the Gastonia Police Department. At 7:17 a.m. on Sunday, July 12, officers responded to the QuikTrip on the 1800 block of W. Franklin Blvd about a man who was shot. When they arrived, they found 57-year-old Cedric Ford suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
