Guy’s out here with a new Bronco that has only 3,000 miles on it, and Ford just killed the engine while he’s in 60 mph traffic.

He’s standing on the side of the road, trucks and cars whipping past, saying he could get killed and that Ford has no idea how rough it is out here. He even wonders out loud if this is basically a scam.

Hard questions we should all be asking:

• How is it legal (or safe) for a company to remotely disable a vehicle while it’s moving on a public highway?

• What happens if this happens to someone with kids in the car, or in the middle of nowhere, or during a medical emergency?

• If you finance a car, do you really own it… or are you just renting permission to drive until they decide otherwise?

• How many other vehicles already have this kill-switch capability built in that most of us don’t even know about?

• And if they can shut it off for a missed payment, what else can they control or track without your knowledge?

This isn’t just one guy’s bad day. This is a preview of what “smart” cars can do to all of us.

What do you think—fair consequence or dangerous overreach?

No car company has such a thing the liability would be massive if an accident happened kill switching is only when shut off you cant start it. Tesla on the other hand would be able To do so. Ford abandoned the patent submission a long time ago!

It wasn't FORD !!

It was the loan company.

I did loan closings.

They get 100% of the vehicle information when they accept the loan.
The dealership is required to comply with certain things if they are to get their commission payments from the loan company.

Dont miss ur fkn payments.. I for one would never get a loan through a manufacturer.. they charge too much interest, on top of that shit like this can happen.. a bank or building society wont shut ur car down or stop ur scheduled services like this. Stupid man

This loser is already making late payments on his brand new Bronco, yet has the nerve to call Ford the scammers?

My sensors indicate you earned it for buying a piece of shit.

I'm not against them shutting it off, but it shouldn't be allowed while the vehicle is in motion. That's foolish, dangerous, and irresponsible. Just wait a bit, they'll park again sooner or later, and then you pull the plug. His late payment shouldn't be the reason a vehicle becomes a hazard on the road. I think if someone shuts a car off in traffic and it causes an accident, the plug-puller should be held responsible for everything, including negligent manslaughter if need be.

2 +1 0falcon0 2 weeks ago

@NoWolf Exactly. Fuck ford anyhow.

3 +1 Cripple 2 weeks ago

@0falcon0
It was the loan company, not Ford.

Ignorant trash. Look, "Home Biscuit", if you cannot afford $40k plus for a vehicle, than maybe don't buy a $40k mall crawler?

Always the victim.

18 +1 redpillpreacher 2 weeks ago

You bought a car you can't afford, probably has missed every payment and got shut down. He would have signed paperwork when he bought the car describing what would happen if he didn't pay his note. Plenty of YT videos of idiots like this.

4 +1 WHITETRASHLOSERS 2 weeks ago

@WHITETRASHLOSERS he probably bought this car at a buy here pay here dealership that put a shutoff device on his car.

Few people realize it, but this is part of the future Total Control system, which is being stealthily imposed on us all!

1 +1 Cameron Phillips 2 weeks ago

@oroboros you will be herded into century workcamps soon.

@Cy4ka
We are already there, because the system punishes criticism and dissent.

If you’re missing one payment that early on then you’re in for a hell of a ride. Or wait… a hell of a stopped car

8 +1 marr708 2 weeks ago

@Lemmiwinks Dang, only 3000 miles on the car and you're already missing payments? Fkn' loser. Stayed tuned for the repo video.

12 +1 Tuukka 2 weeks ago

Make your payments, bro.
$75000 for that is laughable. :woot:

1 +1 JobyFluorine 2 weeks ago

@Tuukka Is that what he paid?!?! Geezuss. I didn't watch the whole video. He was speaking too Ebonics for me.

4 +1 Cameron Phillips 2 weeks ago

@JobyFluorine yea these are pieces of absolute shit too..

2 +1 Tuukka 2 weeks ago

@JobyFluorine That's what he said. I'm sure $10,000 of it was dealer add ons.

0 +1 JobyFluorine 2 weeks ago

@Tuukka That's insane. I know that Ford dealers were adding $35k market adjustment to the Lightnings before everyone stopped buying them! Lol! They were almost doubling the price and it hit them right in the ass!

This shit has seemed in to the most feared thing of all.....those gd smartphone computers that listen to you without you even knowing it. GET RID OF THOSE "SMART PHONES" Never mind about the kill switch on your bigshot Bronco. And by the way....maybe God wants you to make those payments on time!! Wouldn't you think?

2 +1 tommix1 2 weeks ago

Smart cars are for dumb people. Regardless of finances, if something did happen Ford motor co would have to couch the lawsuit in their twats. He may have been shut down by someone else.

How many late did he expect them to accept before they pulled the plug.
Let his employment late pay him just once and see if he doesn't throw a fit.

Bet he'll be on time from here on out.

B-b-but da devil! this is prophecy from my bible!!!
Yadd, yadda :angel:

Those devices are very common and he would've signed off on it. He has bad credit. What the rules are (if any) shutting off the car while moving, I dunno. Mrdical emergency? That's your own damn fault. Make your payments. Ford didn't do it, the finance company did.

What can they track? The Camaro Z28 was one of the first with a "black box". I had one new....that was1998. Every car has them now.
