What most people don't realize about all these "Extreme sports" types, whether base jumping, sky diving, hang gliding, even things slightly less onerous such as underwater hockey, is that, most of these "adrenaline junkies", are caked out of their minds on cocaine most of the time, and only ever think about themselves. The entire reason why the "pro" took the passenger up was to fund his high risk lifestyle, and he couldn't give a flying fuck about anyone else. A retired Navy Seal once mentioned how completely lax the safety aspects are in the civilian world with sky divers, and how he would never again do a civilian sky dive. You're putting your life in the hands of a man or women who sleeps 2 hours a night, snorts coke to stay awake and can't wait for the next time they almost die. Don't let them take you with them.

Has it become a thing now to totally disregard all re-checks when either doing anything involving zip lines, bungee jumps, paragliding, parachuting, etc???

Girl is thrown to her death in a bungee jump with no cord attached.
Girl gets her genitals wrecked by a water-jump line that was not attached properly.
Guy falls 300 feet into the ocean from a boat pulled paraglide ride.

This list keeps growing, faster and faster...

@Cripple
This is exactly how it is. Trusting strangers is the road to Hell!

@oroboros Yup. You cannot even trust people that you know. We all make mistakes, I'd rather not do it when someone's life is at stake.

@Cripple I hope this goes on. Great entertainment.

@Cripple I've been paragliding since 92 and you NEVER EVER miss safety checks if you've got a brain unfortunately not everyone has a brain

I think darwins theory comes into play with some people
