Kaufman County, TX - A Kaufman County Sheriff's deputy and a Forney police officer narrowly avoided being hit by a passing vehicle early Sunday morning after a crash on the side of a highway, according to the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office shared video of the incident, showing the close call as the officers were working on a call along the shoulder when a passing vehicle collided with a Forney police patrol unit. The impact sent the patrol vehicle toward the two first responders, who were able to avoid being struck.
Neither the deputy nor the officer was hit, according to the sheriff's office.
