Austin police released body camera footage and identified a 32-year-old man who was tased and died during an arrest in North Austin on Saturday, and the seven officers who were placed on administrative leave.

The man, identified as Josh Ryan Trumble, died June 6 after officers deployed a Taser while attempting to handcuff him outside a residence in the 7600 block of Grover Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:18 p.m., approximately 42 minutes after officers first made contact with him.

@Swedishtroll69 I was taught CPR when I was in the service, and the instructor said that if it's performed correctly, you may inadvertently crack ribs. I don't know if that's the case or not, since I never done it irl, but you have to compress the chest cavity enough to compress the heart, so...

According to APD's timeline, officers were first dispatched because of multiple 911 calls reporting a man who was:

Breaking a car window,
Trying to flag down passing vehicles,
Bleeding from his arms,
Sitting in the roadway,
Acting erratically.

As additional calls came in, witnesses reported that the same man had become shirtless, was banging on doors, and appeared to be trying to enter homes in the neighborhood. Officers eventually located him lying in the yard of a residence on Grover Avenue, where they attempted to detain him.
