Duration: 1:09 Views: 2.4K Submitted: 20 hours ago Submitted by:
Dozens of drivers were left without their vehicles after LAPD officers impounded 72 cars and issued trespassing citations during a large car meetup inside the Los Angeles River near Cypress Park.
Police say the Street Racing Task Force responded to the gathering Sunday evening and found more than 100 vehicles inside the river channel. Authorities have not described the event as a street race or takeover, but said participants were trespassing. Drivers at the scene claimed the event was organized as a photo shoot for the local car community.

Blacks and browns. Let's let them flood in so they can draw on that slow trickle of precious water. Let their shitty leaky cars contaminate everyone's water.

The 72 cars impounded were probably seen at street takeovers in other parts of the city, as well as some probably not having valid registration or insurance, but the news doesn't mention that. Sometimes it's hard to be outraged when you have all the facts.
