More than 50 men arrested in sex predator sting in Florida

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) along with multiple local, state, and federal agencies just concluded a week-long undercover, sting operation targeting child sex predators. This operation, ‘Operation Bad Habits’ resulted in the arrests of 52 individuals.
Detectives posing online as children, ranging in ages from 7 to 15 years old, were solicited by these predators who ultimately arranged to meet what they thought was a child for sex. Arrested in this operation were legal and illegal immigrants, fathers, coaches, teachers and even a high school student. Several of these predators were also charged with human trafficking as they were trying to “purchase” these children for sex.
The following agencies assisted in this operation: Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Ocala Police Department, Lake City Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, US Marshal’s Service, Homeland Security, the FBI, Florida Sheriff’s Association, Office of the State Attorney Fifth Judicial Circuit and the US Attorney’s Office Middle District of Florida.
Sheriff Woods said, “Once again, the amazing teamwork and determination among all these agencies involved are sending a clear message to child sex predators that Florida has no tolerance for this and we will continue to do everything we can to protect these children.”

Having a discussion at work just prompted me to comment "and parents need to be aware of what those kids are doing on those cellphones".

30 year old (still living with his parents that's struts around trying to be Eminem and lives in his hometown)) says "You can still get in trouble for that" regarding kids certifying they're 18 on these apps but aren't. This abd a few other of his comments prompted me to Google his name. Sure enough there's his face - on the Sex Offender Registry. "13-15 year old" when he was 25.

Alot of these guys are homely and couldn't get sex without paying. This one has the aptitude and demeanor of a 5th grader at 30 and couldn't get sex with an adult even if they were otherwise interested. Then the internet is their next option.

I've got grandkids that age. If anyone ever does anything to them, it won't end well for the pervert. That's a promise! I worked with a guy whose daughter was repeatedly molested by a perv. He got 8 years and the daughter committed suicide. There is only one way to stop those people.

It makes me think that sometimes the people that want a particular job are the worst candidate for that job. Like politicians or police or maybe even school teachers, even.

@JobyFluorine you don't get that where you're from? We've had a few cases of pedos accessing kids through work. Couple years ago 21 year old working at a nursery, caught with hundreds of videos of him abusing the kids at that nursery. Somewhere you put your babies to be safe when you can't be with them. Makes me so angry man.

@JobyFluorine A lot of those people were molested themselves when they were young. They are evil! They say, by the time a perv is caught, he's already molested over 50 kids.
