Deputies say they found 26-year-old Patrick Voegtly unconscious behind the wheel at a Shell station in Plant City with his 5-year-old child sitting in the backseat. The child reportedly told deputies: “He’s just sleeping.”

Investigators say a gun was visible inside the truck, another was found in Voegtly’s pocket, and his blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.

He’s now facing DUI, child neglect, and firearm-related charges.
