The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's office says the vehicle had a felony warrant for 2 prior police chases in recent weeks, in which they were able to evade arrest.

The Sheriff's office stated, “[The sheriff] who had arrived as first backup to the initial traffic stop, was in position to take decisive action and end this dangerous pursuit by disabling the suspect’s vehicle.”
