That requires funding. [Newsom] has been pushing back on adequately funding the efforts to essentially roll back those policies.” Neera Tanden: “So you think it’s important to have the investments in fighting crime?” Ana Kasparian: “100% yes… What we got instead was the premature closure of four prisons. Gavin Newsom is preparing to shut down the fifth state prison. Why does it need more funding? What happened to the funds they already had for it? It's not like they gave the tax payers a break after initially defunding the police and prisons. Figure out who's pocket that money is lining and put it back where it needs to be.
