Texas man calls 911 threatening to “kill as many people as I can,” then stabs four at Richardson bar before police responded

On May 6, 2026, 28-year-old Steven Kwembe called 911 and told dispatchers he was heading to the Good Vibes Bar and Grill in Richardson to “kill as many people as possible.”

Kwembe mentioned on the 911 call that he was specifically targeting two individuals that he claimed, “did him wrong.”

Kwembe managed to enter the restaurant and stab four people.

When Richardson police arrived, they confronted Kwembe outside the restaurants entrance.

Officers repeatedly ordering him to drop the weapon. When he refused and continued to advance holding the knife, officers opened fire fatally striking him.

All four stabbing victims were hospitalized and survived.

@elgringodecuba Watch the video again. This isn't a knife attack that went wrong, it's a suicide by cop.

It's simply a guy who had a death wish and decided to take as many people as possible with him before going.

He says it himself in the video: "I want to die, please kill me."

@MACD_Master They aren’t trained to shoot suspects in the legs. They could’ve at least tased him or used the less lethal BEFORE the lethal lol shooting him with less lethal after unloading a mag into him was kinda fucked up.

@MACD_Master Geezuss, this gets tiresome. Getting shot in the legs is every bit as lethal as getting shot in the chest. If your femoral artery is nicked you'll bleed out before the ambulance is on it's way. Also, in a shootout, seventy to eight percent of the cop's shots are misses when they aim center mass. Do you think that number would go up or down when the cops are aiming at a smaller target?

With two cops there, one could have provided cover while the other approached and attempted to cuff him, and tazers could have been deployed, but seriously, there's no great loss to society if this guy gets capped.
