Imagine a woman fleeing an attacker—and her car won’t start because it thinks she’s impaired.

Imagine a farmer injured on the job—his truck won’t start because it thinks he’s drunk.

These are the unintended consequences of the Kill Switch mandate.

Kill the Kill Switch.

Biden admin already snuck in a provision in one of their bills from 2021 that mandated all new cars have these kill switches

My 12 year old truck just cost me $1,000 bucks because my left directional didn't work. It seems it the directional switch has to go threw a computer first. Fuck this new shit!

@Mr.Triggerhappy Maybe you should have wired a switch and a relay, then manually flip it click-clock at every turn. Analog baby!

@essence25 Just tell us you never had a 72 Datsun 510 that you could maintain EVERYTHING imaginable to it with a trip to Pep Boys and a $250 set of Craftman tools without telling us you're 17 and still mumble 'lefty loosy, righty tighty' whenever you get within a mile of a wrench...

Memo to self, start attacking women in these vehicles.

Just fix your old car, it's probably more reliable anyway.

@tommix1 They're going to try to ban them or price us out of them with carbon taxes and other crap

They want to be able to stop vehicles at will.
I remember years ago they were trying to put a bump button on semi trailers ICC bar (rear bumper) that would sever the brake lines that release the trailer spring brakes, so cops could supposedly stop a semi truck by bumping the rear bumper with the front of the cop car. That would sever the lines and apply the spring brakes on the trailer.
It wouldn't have worked well because you can run a loaded truck down the road with the spring brakes applied. On an empty trailer it would be very unsafe.
Spiky strips are unsafe. The grappler is unsafe.
If they could call up the car manufacturer with the VIN number associated with your license plate number, and shut off your engine, wirelessly, it would eliminate a lot of the dangers of stopping a moving vehicle. I don't like it, but I think that's where they're going.

@MatchboxxCar They've had Onstar since 1996.

Imagine if we start making laws based on some 1 in a million possibility chance happening :ermm:

@ScreaminMime I dunno man, I think using a vehicle to flee dangerous situations is a lot more common than 1 in a million.

Imagine if the Demons that run the government genuinely cared about human suffering!!
