Newly surfaced video from October 2025 shows a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer intervening in a fight at West Charlotte High School, picking up a female student, and slamming her to the pavement. The girl lost consciousness and suffered a seizure, requiring hospitalization. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD conducted an internal investigation and determined the officer used excessive force. He was suspended without pay, removed from his role as a student resource officer, and placed under criminal investigation.
