A US destroyer opened fire on an Iranian cargo vessel near the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian vessel Touska was warned for six hours before attempting to breach the blockade. The USS Spruance then fired on the ship and blow a hole in the engine room which disabled the vessel. Then US marines boarded the vessel and took control.
