@Comfortably_numb There are divisions and different “factions” inside Iran. Foreign minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi opened the Strait of Hormuz yesterday. IRGC (Sepah) Navy closed the Strait of Hormuz today to save face because they thought the political leadership is giving the US a win for opening the Strait. There are tensions between the parts of the government and the IRGC. Hardliners vs. slightly more pragmatic figures. Military vs. political leadership. Military division vs. military division. There were also few mid-ranking IRGC leaders killed by Iranians in Tehran few days ago. Chaos.
