On April 3, registered nurse Sydney Tash, her husband Kyle, and their premature infant Ellie were removed from an Allegiant Air flight from Punta Gorda, Florida, to Indianapolis after crew concerns about the baby's health, despite no temperature check or medical consultation. MedLink, the airline's service, advised against flying based on a description of redness from crying and cabin heat, and the family deplaned under threat of police escort, facing embarrassment and extra costs. Young couple on a delayed flight tried to keep their baby girl cool after she became overheated by lightly dressing her down. I learned a long time ago, anytime you fly to or from Florida, especially Orlando, take noise cancelling headphones. Leaving Orlando is the worst with babies and toddlers crying because those people have worn themselves at Disney and the other theme parks.

I bet a lot of people on the plane were happy that the screaming baby was taken off of the flight. Why do people travel with very small babies on planes? Isn't that torture for everyone else?

Did the parents really have to take a very small baby, obviously in distress, on a flight?
