Laura Caron, a former 5th-grade teacher at Middle Township Elementary School #2 in New Jersey. She was arrested in January 2025 and charged with sexual assault and related offenses for an alleged years-long relationship with a male student that began when he was 11 (around 2016). He later moved in with her, and they had a child together in 2019 when he was 13. DNA confirmed paternity.

 

The now-19-year-old has publicly stated he initiated the relationship, denies grooming or rape, and wants all charges dropped so they can raise their child as a family. Court proceedings are ongoing; Caron faces up to 10+ years if convicted.
