@UP URANUS You don't know what you're talking about. Two primary reasons for US engagement in this war is about the regional security dynamics and the global financial dominance. US needs to maintain the petrodollar and the global reserve currency. US maintains wealth and geopolitical power largely because the dollar is the global reserve currency, reinforced by the petrodollar.

Ironically, If the Liberty ship incident had been successful the US would own the Arabian peninsula. And the middle east would have no money for terrorism. The world would have been dependent on US oil then.
