@Galaga I agree 100%. Technically, I am African American despite being white, because I emigrated from Africa to USA. The blacks here should be called American Africans, but I've learned that you better off not correcting black people when it comes to their identity or shit gets loud fast.

You are either a white South African living in America, a black African living in AMerica or you were born in and lived in America and can trace your family back there from 1707. There is no such thing as being African (white or black) AMerican and it is preposterous to say there is.

@cornz I am both a South African and an American. So if you want to get pedantic I'm technically a White South African American. It's not an oxymoron as the prefix is to denote your heritage, i.e. being Italian American. But let me guess, by your logic it would be preposterous to suggest anyone could be Italian American.
