On March 17th, Crime Suppression Team officers were conducting foot patrol on Flagler Avenue when they observed several individuals loitering between businesses. As the subjects emerged, a strong odor of a marijuana was also present. Our officers attempted to stop the individuals when one of them thought it would be better to try and run off. A foot pursuit ensued, and the subject was quickly apprehended with the use of a Taser.
The subject, a 17-year-old male from Orlando, was arrested and charged with loitering and prowling, resisting an officer, and possession of cannabis. Due to the charges being misdemeanor, his name and identity is not being released.

I know its Florida and all but that still seems excessive for a white teen fleeing on suspicion of weed possession

It's a good thing he's not in France. These idiots just passed a law banning all driver's licenses for life for cannabis users. Those who have already had theirs revoked, those who haven't yet refused. The next step will probably be their bank account, I imagine.

This whole "spring break" thing is a mess. I know I'm older, but in the 70/80's it wasn't as STUPID as it is now.
The gen z types who haven't been raised with manners or respect, act like a bunch of wild indians and think they
can do whatever they want.
Toss a big net over them, scoop them up and dump them in the ocean. :D
