NEW: Kentucky family rejects $26 million offer to convert part of their farm into a data center despite the offer being about 10 times the going rate for farmland in the area.

"If it's my way, I'll stay and hold and feed a nation. 26 million doesn't mean anything."

"As long as I'm on this land, as long as it's feeding me, as long as it's taking care of me, there's nothing that can destroy me if I've got this land."

Good! Nowadays owning land is like gold... there was a hospital near me buying the houses behind it to build parking spaces... one man refused hes now surrounded by a parking lot but still has his home... lol

Notice how there are no children around ... who's she going to hand the land down to to keep it from being purchased?

If the neighbors or someone else ain't taking it, there's going to be fleet of heavy excavators ready to flatten the place and develop it the moment she falls over dead from a coronary, which she's obviously overdue for.

It makes me sad, because they're genuine, good people, but the vast majority of the people in the nation they're feeding would throw them under the bus for a nickel.

@MatchboxxCar yea, where I grew up farmers kids are selling the farm to developers and turning fertile, productive farmland into sub- divisions full of jeets.

Respect. Unfortunately her neighbors will or have sold out and the companies will turn their volume (& water poisoning) up to 11
