He pointed to comments from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who earlier this month claimed Iran posed an imminent threat because the US had information that Israel was about to attack and Iran would respond with a counterattack. He called Rubio's reasoning flawed because he said there was no reason to believe that Iran would attack US bases without prior Israeli provocation against Iran. "So the immediate threat that the secretary of state is talking about is not coming from Iran. It's coming from Israel (?) Carlson asked. "Exactly," Kent replied.
