Newly released video shows the final moments before a security guard for Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett was shot and killed by police following a tense standoff in Texas. Authorities say the incident unfolded after Dallas police pursued the suspect, identified as Diamon-Mazairre Robinson, who was allegedly driving a vehicle with stolen license plates. The chase ended inside a hospital parking garage, where officers surrounded the car and repeatedly ordered Robinson to exit vehicle with his hands up.

Footage shows Robinson slowly stepping out with his hands raised before appearing to reach toward his waist, prompting officers to shout warnings seconds before shots were fired. Police say Robinson had multiple felony warrants and a parole violation, and had been using the alias “Mike King” while working as part of Crockett’s security team since 2023. In a statement, Crockett said he had passed required hiring protocols under that alias, raising concerns about gaps in the screening process and calling for increased protection measures for members of Congress.
