In Vero Beach, Florida Indian River County deputies respond to a shopping area for a report of a vehicle crash involving a Mercedes.
While in route, the caller observed the female driver leaving the scene on foot. When asked what happened, the driver said she was trying to get her husband to sign divorce papers. The husband told deputies she began accelerating toward him in an attempt to strike the vehicle he was driving; however he quickly moved out of the way, narrowly escaping death.
The female driver was moving too quickly and took out a palm tree in the parking lot. Once at the jail, she provided two breath samples which showed her BAC to be .239 and .230, nearly three times the legal limit to drive. The suspect was charged with Driving Under the Influence and Aggravated Assault.
